This is an excellent article. Well written and bang on the money. And excellent read and most definitely worth the time. I am short Apple and expect to make a lot. Keep up the great work!

  • Bankruptcy Model Predictions About Research In Motion [View article]
@tmab: I suggest you don't just look at the potential negatives, but also look at the positives as well. And there are many. RIM has already started the recovery, and they will be back in full force by year end.

  • A Provocative Play On The Smart Phone Market: Nokia [View article]
Interesting article except for the RIM comment. Have you not been keeping up with what RIM is doing? Not to mention they are still profitable, have a good balance sheet, money in the back, the best tablet on the market in the Playbook 2.0, and an upcoming new bb10 smartphone that will become the gold standard. I suggest buying RIM instead of Nokia, or buy both. I think Nokia will be around for a while, as will RIM.

  • BlackBerry's Image Problem: Lack Of Consistency And Inspiration [View article]
Great article, and most of the comments are right on. I am long RIM right now, and expect a jump in February with the 2.0 Playbook release, and than again when the first bb10 comes out. At that point, it should be close to $50 again, and once the bb10 are proven to be the best of the best, the sky will be the limit, like the good old days.

  • My New Target Price For Apple: $750 [View article]
Apple has peaked. And please show me where I said this prior to it hitting $400? I did not. IMO, Apple will slowly drop throughout 2012, until it is below $350, possibly hitting $320. That's when I will buy back in.

  • My New Target Price For Apple: $750 [View article]
Not really inconsistent. I think it should be at $320 now, but look where it is. So I think in the long run, it should get down to this. However, if I see it hit $350 and hover for a while, then I will buy as it may not go as low as I predict. Even if I buy at $350 and it drops to $320, it should go up eventually. But all this depends on what is happening at the time, and what Apple has on the horizon.

  • Research In Motion: You Have Got To Be Kidding Me [View article]
Low margins + high volume sales = Huge profits .RIM is the #1 company overseas - and that is going to remain that way for some time .

  • RIM (RIMM) is in talks with mobile handset and PC makers about licensing the company's BlackBerry 10 operating system, new CEO Thorsten Heins tells Bloomberg. As to fears that he will be unduly influenced by Mike Lazaridis, Heins declares, "make no mistake, I run the company."  [View news story]
Interesting. In any case, RIM is an exceptional opportunity to make a ton of money. It's already started its comeback, and that will continue when the 2.0 release is out and then again with the release of the bb10 line. Expect to see the stock over $60 within a year. Long RIM.

  • Playbook 2.0 Set To Move RIM Shares Higher [View article]
The release of Playbook 2.0 update will be a huge positive for RIM and most definitely give their stock a boost. The stock has already been beaten down to far below where it truly should be. This release will continue the comeback of RIM's stock that has already started.

Very true. Not only is RIM profitable NOW, they will continue to be in the future, especially because they are leading the ways overseas NOW. Glad you've become a RIM supporter smithy. It's about time. Good job.

A CA is the highest accounting designation one can get. Higher that CGA, higher than CPA, etc. So I will listen to a CA over you or anyone else.

That's true, but look at Apple. They were in far far worse condition than RIM, and they pulled it out with the iPhone. If the bb10 is a leap forward, people will flock to it. But it must be a leap forward and not just up to par with everything else that is out there.
